Bloom Skin Spa - see your skin blossom
 Meet Bloom!

Amber Self, Owner, Aesthetician
Amber graduated from Miller-Motte College of Esthetics and holds a North Carolina State Boards License. Originally her passion was in veterinary medicine where she attended college in Michigan completing pre-veterinary undergraduate with a gpa of 3.8, on the Dean’s List, and an active member of the Math and Science Society.

Amber briefly attended the University of Georgia in a continued pursuit of a career in veterinary medicine. She and her husband started a family and then his job relocated them to Cary.  She felt a need for a career change that would accommodate a more flexible schedule for her growing family.
Her love of science and research brought her into this industry. She has a full understanding of product ingredients, new technologies and is results oriented.  “I realized that in an effort to achieve fast results clients are compromising the true health of their skin. You can achieve beautiful and healthy skin without destroying it in the process. You can get wonderful results through the use of fruit acids and organic products as opposed to laboratory formulated petrochemicals, bleach, chemical acids and preservatives – that is why I am here!” she states.

Amber specializes in all target and corrective treatments such as anti-aging, acne, pigmentation, sun damage and rosacea. She performs facials, enzyme peels, light and medium depth peels, microdermabrasion, LED rejuvenation, vascular blemish removal and many more modalities.

She is certified in Eminence level I, level II, History & Theory, Advanced Hungarian Facial Techniques, Biodynamic, Microdermabrasion, Enzyme & Chemical Exfoliation, Natural & Organic Enzyme Peels, Acupressure facials, Vascular Blemish Treatments and Threading.
